Dr Katey and Senior Skin Therapist Jo founded The Skin Collective to give the Yarra Valley community access to safe, advanced skin treatments without the need to travel to the city. Together, they’ve created a clinic where science, technology and expertise come together.

Dr Catherine Goldsmith (known to most as Dr Katey) is a Specialist General Practitioner and Cosmetic Doctor based in Healesville, Yarra Valley. She has more than ten years of medical experience, with qualifications that include a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery, a Fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners, and additional training in Obstetrics, Gynaecology, Aesthetic and Cosmetic Medicine.

Katey began her career in women’s and children’s health and Family Medicine before following her passion for skin health and facial aesthetics. Her interest in helping patients feel more confident led her to complete further education in cosmetic medicine, where she combines her medical knowledge with evidence-based aesthetic treatments.

In 2023, she launched Dr Katey Cosmetics in Healesville and quickly built a reputation for safe, ethical treatments with natural-looking results. The Skin Collective is the next step in that evolution, a purpose-built clinic that combines advanced technology, medical care, and a collaborative team to support skin health for the Yarra Valley community.

What Katey loves most about her work is the opportunity to empower people to feel better about themselves. She is known for her natural approach to cosmetic treatments, offering subtle enhancements that refresh rather than overdo.

Joanne Larcombe (goes by Jo) is a Senior Skin Therapist with more than 30 years of experience. She began her career in Sydney, working in some of the country’s leading skin clinics, including the renowned Venustus, where she built a reputation for her deep knowledge of skin health, advanced treatment skills, discretion and commitment to achieving results. 

Over the years, Jo has managed clinics, trained alongside industry leaders and worked with international celebrities.

After moving to Healesville, Jo became well-known throughout the wider Yarra Valley community through her own business, Miss Josie’s. 

She is known for being caring, attentive and highly skilled, valuing the time she takes to listen and create personalised treatment plans.

Larissa is a Bachelor-qualified Dermal Clinician with a passion for delivering results-driven treatments and exceptional patient care. With almost 10 years of industry experience, she specialises in advanced skin and laser therapies, including laser treatments, microneedling, and chemical peels.

Larissa is committed to providing personalised, evidence-based care, working closely with each client to develop tailored treatment plans and skincare routines that align with their individual goals and needs. She prides herself on delivering safe, effective treatments while educating and empowering clients throughout their skin journey.

Throughout her career, Larissa has successfully owned and operated her own clinic, as well as managed other aesthetic clinics. 

At the core of her practice is a strong commitment to patient-centred care, and she is widely recognised for her compassionate, professional, and caring approach.

As the front face of our clinic, Lauren brings over 20 years of experience in the beauty and aesthetics industry, having held a range of management and leadership positions across both Victoria and Sydney. Drawing on extensive industry knowledge and a deep understanding of exceptional client care, she is dedicated to ensuring every patient enjoys a seamless, personalised, and elevated experience throughout their journey with our clinic.

As the owner of a successful aesthetics clinic in Sydney, Lauren combines strong operational expertise with a genuine passion for creating welcoming, professional environments where clients feel valued, supported, and confident in their care.

Born and raised in Healesville, Lauren is proud to be part of the local community and is delighted to contribute to the growth of aesthetics services in her hometown. Her warm and approachable nature, coupled with her commitment to excellence, helps create the high standard of service and attention to detail that defines the clinic experience.

Taylaih Mathieson is our Receptionist and Skin Therapist at The Skin Collective. She has almost completed an Associate Degree in Applied Health Science (Dermal Therapy) and has a particular interest in enzyme therapy and skin needling. 

Having experienced her own 10-year struggle with acne, Taylaih understands first-hand how challenging skin conditions can be and the difference the right support and treatment can make.

Taylaih takes a holistic approach to skin health, considering each client’s condition and lifestyle rather than applying a one-size-fits-all treatment. 

Clients value her honesty, approachable nature, and commitment to helping them achieve healthy, long-term results.
